God is the CEO.

I’m blessed to converse with a lot of people, and it seems many have a lot going on.  It’s so common that ‘lots going on’ should be one of the mood options we can select on our social media profiles. Lol!

But just because it’s common doesn’t mean we should celebrate it.  Read this next part slowly: especially if the lots we have going on is because we’re in lanes we shouldn’t be in.

I’ll wait for you to catch your breath.

I started talking about this reality here: [SHIFT] Podcast (S2, Ep. 14): Let God Do His Job.  This is a reminder that there are some responsibilities that fall under God’s job description alone.  He doesn’t need our help, and when we find ourselves in those lanes, we need to quickly get out.

That’s the purpose of this post.  You can’t stay out of God’s lane until you know what His lane entails.  So here’s the first step in that direction:

If He’s working in and through you, this is a reality you must embrace.  He’s the Chief Executive Officer, period.  He’s not a fractional CEO, sharing His designated responsibilities with people, nor is His position up for grabs.  He’s the CEO, and I’m convinced, He’s the best CEO ever.  Period.

As CEO, here are some of His responsibilities:

Creation: This is actually the responsibility that He revealed when first introducing Himself to the world: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1, CEV).  When things need to be created, He doesn’t source them from Chat GPT or some other AI agent.  He’s directly involved in the process, ensuring that the beginning, end, and all parts in between go according to His plans.

Endowment: If you think venture capitalists offer resources to get things started, wait until you read about what God provides: “And with all his abundant wealth through Christ Jesus, my God will supply all your needs” (Philippians 4:19, GNT).  And if you don’t have biblical context to fully understand that verse, just know that Christ Jesus was a once and for all payment for a greatly outstanding debt humanity owed.  God puts up the funds, and whatever else is needed, to make sure His desires happen.

Ownership: I don’t even have time to tell you all that’s in His asset portfolio, but here’s a quick summary: “The earth and everything on it, including its people, belong to the Lord. The world and its people belong to him” (Psalm 24:1, CEV).  In people alone, He has over 8 billion assets in His portfolio.  He owns everything and takes responsibility for all of it.

I shared that to say this.  If the lots you have going on involve what needs to be created, funded, or what you own, you’re in the wrong lane, particularly if you have a relationship with God.  If you’ll shift out of those lanes, and start thanking Him for being exceptional in them, the pressure you feel will be replaced with peace.  You’ll also see how amazingly He handles His assigned responsibilities!

That’s all for now, friends, but I’d love to keep the conversation going in the comments.  How has God been CEO in your life?  Other than being grateful for how He manages His responsibilities, what are some other ways you can pivot out of His lanes and back into yours?  I look forward to reading your wisdom as well.

And if the greatness of God resonated with you, check out this video: [God Is the G.O.A.T., no cap].

I’ll be back soon with another post.  Until then, let God be the CEO because He’s phenomenal at it.

Have an incredible day!
