Make Room

You will have such a surplus of crops that you will need to clear out the old grain to make room for the new harvest! (Leviticus 26:10, NLT)

Periodically, computers, mobile phones, and tablets notify us that an update is required.  Consider this post such a notification.  Not only are the worst days of your life over, but your best has begun.  God is sending you an abundance that will exceed your aggravation.   It’s time to make room!

In Leviticus 26:10, Moses gives the Israelites insight on a blessing that mirrors what God has dispatched for you: “You will have such a surplus of crops that you will need to clear out the old grain to make room for the new harvest” (NLT).  There are a few thing worth noting about this blessing:

  1. It was for obedient people. This blessing had specific qualifications: “If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands” (Leviticus 26:3, NLT).  If you’ve been obedient, despite incentives to rebel, a blessing is headed your way.

  1. It required overcoming the past. The forthcoming blessing was so abundant that God said they would have to “clear out the old grain to make room …” (Leviticus 26:10, NLT).  This phrase was clear: the past would have to be moved to prepare for the blessing.  Likewise, we must let go of what has been to cling to what is on the way (see Philippians 3:13 – 14).  Let it go, so He will let it come!

  1. It was overwhelming provision. God promised that the incoming blessing would greatly exceed the stored crops, so they had to make room.  A blessing of comparable size is headed your way, too!

I reiterate: it’s time to make room!  There will be surplus in every area you’ve experienced shortages.  God is opening levies in places where you have been limited.  Anything that was removed will be replenished.  I decree supernatural overflow in your life.  By faith, make room for what shall be!
