My daughter has a keen memory. If you tell her something, especially involving something you plan to give her, she won’t forget. In fact, she usually remembers around the time you promised to give it to her. And, just to show you that she still remembers, she’ll often say, “Can I have (insert whatever you promised to give her) now?
Although my daughter has a keen memory, it pales in comparison to God’s memory. Periodically, life seems like God has forgotten what He promised, but let me encourage you. Just because you can’t see Him working doesn’t mean God is on vacation. He never sleeps or slumbers and is always “watching, and (He) will certainly carry out all (His) plans” (Jeremiah 1:12, NLT). I’m so convinced that God remembers and is performing what He promised you that I’m forecasting your forthcoming testimony:
Not a single one of all the good promises the LORD had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything he had spoken came true (Joshua 21:45, NLT).
Take this same verse and replace “the family of Israel” with your name: Not a single one of all the good promises the LORD had given to (insert your name) was left unfulfilled; everything he had spoke came true! Now, say the verse aloud like you believe it’s true! Everything God promised is on the way to you because He remembers!
