YOU WILL MAKE IT

When my daughter really needs to use the restroom, I mean really needs to go, she will look at me with eyes wide open and say, “Daddy, I need to go potty.” When it’s apparent that this could end disastrously, she’ll also run in place. When I see those cues, I race to wherever she is and escort her quickly to the toilet. When she arrives without an accident, she always says, “Whew, we made it!”

Let me speak something over you. Sooner than later, you’ll be able to say, “I made it.” This global pandemic cannot stop God’s power, promises, or protection. Though your journey seems uncertain, your destiny is sure. You will get through this because God is on your side!

The key to making it is to look at the shore instead of the sea. In other words, stay focused. Notice what happened in the end of Acts 27 for those who swam with the shore in focus:

So everyone escaped safely to shore (Acts 27:44, NLT).

I’ll say it again: stay focused. As King Solomon shared: “Look straight ahead and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. Don’t get sidetracked …” (Proverbs 4:25-27, NLT). Whatever you focus on is where you will finish. Keep your eyes on the shore, which is your destiny, and I declare you’ll make it!
