Hey friends,
Whether you’re a starter or not, you’re still super important in God’s grand plan. You might not be the one taking the lead, but you can still help out in a big way.
I call these people supporters. They’re like the superheroes behind the scenes, making sure the starters shine. Here are some of their cool traits:
They work hard without being asked.
They give the starters the tools they need to succeed.
They see the best in others and help them out when they need it.
Supporters are the backbone of starters. Just look at the world of superheroes – Batman had Robin, Superman had Lois Lane and the Justice League. Every great starter needs equally great supporters!
In this blog post, I’ll share some tips on how to be a great supporter. Check out these awesome verses from the Bible:
The Amalekites came and attacked the Israelites at Rephidim. Moses said to Joshua, “Pick out some men to go and fight the Amalekites tomorrow. I will stand on top of the hill holding the stick that God told me to carry.” Joshua did as Moses commanded him and went out to fight the Amalekites, while Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. As long as Moses held up his arms, the Israelites won, but when he put his arms down, the Amalekites started winning. When Moses’ arms grew tired, Aaron and Hur brought a stone for him to sit on, while they stood beside him and held up his arms, holding them steady until the sun went down. In this way Joshua totally defeated the Amalekites (Exodus 17:8-13, GNT).
These verses show us two important things that supporters do:
- Elevation. Remember Aaron and Hur holding Moses’ arms up when he got tired? They were like superheroes! Their help made Moses stronger and helped the Israelite army win. When supporters lift starters up, they make sure the starters have the support they need to succeed.
- Execution. Joshua was the one fighting on the front lines, taking Moses’ orders and running with them. When supporters put starters’ plans into action, things get done quickly and efficiently. They make sure the mission is moving forward with consistent, productive contributions.
So, friends, these verses give us another way to work together. If you’re a supporter, find ways to lift or put starters’ plans into action. When you support like this, starters will get the rest they need and the mission will keep moving forward.
