It is a waste of time to get up early and stay up late, trying to make a living.  The Lord provides for those he loves, even while they are sleeping (Psalm 127:2, ERV).

I often read Scriptures that grab my attention.  I’m constantly amazed by the wealth of encouragement God packed into His Word.  The passage included with this post, however, floored me.  I couldn’t believe it, so I read it again to ensure that I read it correctly.

Check out the concluding words of the verse: “The Lord provides for those he loves, even while they are sleeping” (Psalm 127:2, ERV).  If we only trust Him, God will give us easy blessings!  We can sleep and get blessed.  It doesn’t get much easier than that.

I know the simplicity of this verse is in stark contrast to the hustle and bustle manner in which we live, but Solomon, one of the wisest men ever, left undeniable truth on record.  The key to abundance is not relentless trying; it’s relentlessly trusting God’s faithfulness.  God wants to bless us around the clock, and He doesn’t require any “work” on our part.  He’ll give us favor because He loves us.  That’s an easy blessing!
